Founder Note
BaKaTa is how I honor the wisdom woven into my land and roots.
In pre-Hispanic Colombia, gold was never only material. It held meaning, shaped into figures, animals, and symbols connected to nature, ritual, and the way people understood the world. That memory stays with me.
Behind every jewel there is an artist. Behind every artist, a story. Behind every story, a root.
I created BaKaTa to honor that chain and to carry it here, to Amsterdam.
